Baajamaal

Baajamaal (also spelled Bajimaal) is reported as a sub-clan within the Dir clan family of the Somali people. It is listed among the Dir-affiliated groups in ethnographic accounts, including works such as Peoples of the Horn of Africa by I. M. Lewis.

Due to limited academic documentation, detailed historical and genealogical information about the Baajamaal remains scarce. In some oral traditions, Baajamaal is considered to have close genealogical ties with other Dir sub-clans, including Biimaal, although such relationships are not extensively covered in published sources.
