I was born in Lower Shabelle of South West State of Somalia in early 1990s, in a village called Cabdi Cali that is located some 10km south-west of Qoryole town. This small village is also located near the bank of the Shabelle River. The area was /is good for both farming and keeping of livestock. My mother’s name is Mako Sheikh Ahmed and my father, Haji Ibrahim was both well known in the area even in the outskirt of the Qoryole town. My father (Haji Ibrahim) was also known for his religious leadership. In turn both Parents hailed from religious families which made us to be a much respected family. Am now a father of Three girls (Rowda, Rayan and Ritaj) & I have a dearly beloved son named Rajab. This name is not chosen to honor the President of Turkey, but rather it holds a profound and cherished significance for my beloved wife and me. It is named after the Islamic holy month of Rajab, one of the most sacred months revered by Muslims. I will share the story of this blessed month at another time
